Getting there by train

	Free shuttle bus to your ryokan is waiting for you at JR Kinosaki Station.

Japan Rail Pass, which allows unlimited rides during a designated period, is the cheapest way to get around by train.

Kinosaki Onsen can be reached from Kyoto, Shin-Osaka, Himeji, Sannomiya, and Tottori in 2 to 2.5 hours with 1 or 2 transfers.
* Check the time of Limited Express Hamakaze in advance, as it runs only a few times a day.

From Kansai International Airport, take Limited Express Haruka to Shin-Osaka or Kyoto Station, and transfer.

Free shuttle bus services are available for hotels at JR Kinosaki Onsen Station (until 6 p.m.). Feel free to use the service. Tell the name of your hotel to the guide or driver.

Getting there by bus (only from Osaka and Kobe)

The bus is the best transportation for foreign residents in Japan without a Japan Rail Pass.

From Osaka (Hankyu Sambangai Shopping Center), it takes about 3 hours and 20 minutes, and costs 3,600 yen one way. There are 2 buses a day.
From Kobe (Shinki Bus Sannomiya Terminal), it takes about 3 hours and 10 minutes, and costs 3,200 yen one way. There are 2 buses a day.
Zentan Bus service offers a good deal (reserved seats only). A discount of 10% for round-trip tickets.

Getting there by car

You can rent a car in Kyoto, Shin-Osaka, Kobe, or Tottori, and drive along highways to get to Kinosaki Onsen. It may be a good idea to ask a rent-a-car outlet staff to set the navigation function before departure.
If you drive from Osaka or Kobe, drive along the Chugoku Expressway or Maizuru Wakasa Expressway, and then Kitakinki Toyo-oka Expressway to Wadayama IC. It takes less than 1 hour from Wadayama IC to Kinosaki on open roads.
If you drive from Kyoto, drive along National Route 9 (including Kyoto Jukan Expressway), pass Fukuchiyama, and soon change to National Route 426 from Nobana intersection.

Caution
If you are from abroad, you may be required to present your International Driver’s License for renting a car in Japan.

Getting there by plane

-Tokyo (Haneda) fly to Osaka (Itami), departs 14:50pm
Time: about 1hr.

-Osaka (Itami) fly to Tajima Airport Planes depart at 8:45 and 16:20. (35min. flight). Then bus to Kinosaki.
Total time: about 1h20m
